Three Things I have Learned

1.I have learned that industiralization and nationalism helped transform the urban and agricultural life throughout Europe.

2.I also learned that Afrikaners were not your traditional black people theyare descendants of the dutch settlers in the cape colony in southern Africa.

3.I also learned that the white man burden was the idea that Europeans could and should civilize more primitive nonwhite people and that imperialism would eventually provide nonowhites with modern achievements and higher standards of living.

Two Things that I have Learned :

1. Imperial Complexities in India was pretty intersting. We found out that Britian permitted many native princes to continue to rule.

2. The Great Rebellion was in 1857 and 1858 insurrection by Muslim and Hindiu mercenaries in the British army that spread throughout northern and centeral India before finally being crused.

One Question I still have:

1.Why was Rudyard Kipling considered the most celebrated authour of the era? His writing express his emotions, he is racist right?
